Sardines, also known as "pilchards", are small oily fish that belong to the same family as herring and anchovies. They are a seasonal catch and you can look for them on our counter from late Spring to early Autumn.

This year the early may bank holiday falls of Monday 5th May. This means there will be no fish available in the markets on Tuesday 6th May. We will open again on Wednesday 7th May when the fresh fish supply resumes.
