Fiver Fest In Muswell Hill

We are delighted to part of the latest Totally Locally Fiver Fest in Muswell Hill. In this video we are getting a visit from Dominique Woolf food blogger and sauce maker from the Woolfs Kitchen.  All captured by SugarSweet Productions Crouch End & Muswell Hill’s local videography service.

Fiver Fest is a big celebration of Britain’s fantastic small businesses and shops, many run by families or individuals across the UK. All of these amazing businesses contribute to the economy of the UK and the well being of our towns and high streets. The name comes from the (now famous) Totally Locally £5 message showing the huge impact of people spending just £5 per week in their local independent shops can have on our High Streets.

“If Every Adult in Muswell Hill spent £5 per week in their local shops and businesses, instead of online, at a national chain or at the big supermarkets, it would be worth £5.5 Million going directly into our local economy.”

About Fiver Fest February

Fiver Fest has been running in individual towns as part of the full Totally Locally Town Kit for 8 years now. But it was only in June 2019 that it was decided to run it nationally – basically making a big noise about UK independent shops & businesses by encouraging them to put on special £5 offers, promoting each other and working together. Then targeting the general public and shoppers with some well thought out, simple messages about how spending just £5 a week can have a huge impact on the place they live.

43 Towns joined in in June and it was a huge success. So it was repeated it again in October – that time 63 Towns got involved. It was even better – with reports of loads of sales, new customers and a real buzz in the towns and high streets. We hope February 2020 will be even better.
