Oysters From Walter Purkis

We  always look to find the very best suppliers for all our products and our oysters are no exception. They come from Carlingford Oyster Company in Ireland. A family business going back several generations producing award winning oysters. Just as wine growers talk of terroir influencing their grapes on land for oysters its is merrior in the sea. The oysters in Carlingford lough  receive an exchange of water with each tide which delivers the nutrients on which the oysters filter feed. At the same time there is freshwater flowing in from the mountain sides north and south of the Lough which give these Oysters their own rich and distinctive flavour. See more about oysters here >>
