When you are putting lobster on your menu, you want it to be the best. A lobster will be at its freshest and tastiest if you buy it live and cook it yourself. Lobsters sold pre-pared, in packs or frozen can often be a disappointing experience. To offer our customers the freshest lobster on the very best condition we have installed a “Homarium” in our Muswell Hill shop. This is a specialist tank that keeps the lobsters humanely in ideal conditions. The water is cooled to a steady 7 0C, oxygenated and filtered to make sure they are healthy and happy.
As with many fine foods lobsters are at their best when cooked simply. Their characteristic sweet flesh will be delicious halved and under the grill or cooked by boiling or steaming. You need to add little other than melted butter, lemon juice and mayonnaise. You can find our lobster cooking tips here >> . You can choose your lobster in the shop (order in advance for Christmas) from the tank and we will cook it for you and you can take it away ready to eat (we can crack the shells for you as well).
